TERMS & CONDITIONS

These terms are here to make expectations clear and protect everyone involved.

Terms of Service

My Way Ceremonies provides guidance and writing support for families who are planning farewell gatherings, most often after cremation, and for individuals who are pre planning their own future farewell.

The service offered is ceremony writing and guidance, not funeral directing, officiating, or counselling.

By engaging with My Way Ceremonies, you agree to the following terms.

Nature of the Service

  • My role is to write and guide, not to lead or conduct ceremonies on the day.

  • Families remain responsible for organising and holding their own gatherings.

  • Guidance is offered through conversation and written materials, using video calls, phone calls, and email.

The service is collaborative and supportive, but it does not replace professional legal, medical, or counselling advice.

Scope and Boundaries

My Way Ceremonies does not provide:

  • Funeral directing services

  • Officiation or on the day coordination

  • Crisis or grief counselling

  • Legal or financial advice

The service is designed to support clarity and confidence, not to take control of decisions.

Revisions and Delivery

  • Ceremony writing services include one to two rounds of revisions, as outlined on the Pricing page.

  • Revisions are intended to refine wording and structure, not to create entirely new ceremonies.

  • Final written materials are provided digitally.

Payment

  • All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.

  • Payment is required in advance and is processed securely via Square or PayPal.

  • Because the service involves time, writing, and preparation, refunds are not offered once work has commenced, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

Limitation of Liability

While every effort is made to provide thoughtful and careful guidance, My Way Ceremonies is not responsible for:

  • How ceremonies are delivered on the day

  • Decisions made by families or participants

  • Emotional responses of those attending the gathering

Families retain full responsibility for their gatherings and any associated arrangements.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
